Daniel Craig’s killer debut as James Bond in 2006’s “Casino Royale” was generally regarded as one of the best Bond movies since 1964’s classic “Goldfinger” (starring Sean Connery). Craig stumbled a bit with 2008’s “Quantum of Solace,” so there’s a lot riding on “Skyfall” to restore his luster, especially since 2012 represents the 50th anniversary of Bond on the big screen (starting with “Dr. No” in 1962).
Little is known about the film, other than this plotline from the official website: “Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
“Skyfall” opens in theaters on November 9.
