Winner of the ICG Publicists Guild Press Award (honoring outstanding entertainment journalism), Scott “Movie” Mantz is the resident Film Critic and Film Segment Producer for “Access Hollywood” and “Access Hollywood Live.”

In October 2000, Mantz joined the daily entertainment newsmagazine TV show, which is currently in its 19th season. His “Access” reviews also appear on various platforms nationwide, including the monitors at supermarkets, gaspumps and taxicabs in major cities (including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco).

Mantz is also a regular contributor to National Public Radio, KNBC- Channel 4, KTLA-Channel 5, KTTV-Channel 11, NBC-TV’s “The TODAY Show” and was a regular film critic on the PBS movie review series “Just Seen It.” Mantz also has a large presence online as the host and producer of “Profiles,” the ongoing YouTube and iTunes series that spotlights the greatest filmmakers of all time.  In addition, Mantz is a regular contributor to the popular online shows “Screen Junkies” and “The Schmoes Know Movies Show.”

In recent years, Mantz has been a regular correspondent on the TV Guide Channel’s “Count It Down” series and was a frequent guest on Reelz Channel’s “Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin.” In addition, he contributed commentary on “Extreme Close-Up” for the E! network and on Bravo TV´s “13 Scary Movie Moments” and “30 Even Scarier Movie Moments.”

When he’s not on-camera, Mantz can be found moderating Q&A’s with filmmakers and celebrities at special movie screenings, particularly during the busy Awards Season between September and February.

Prior to joining “Access Hollywood,” Mantz was the Chief Financial Officer for the premiere entertainment marketing company Creation Entertainment from 1991 to 2000.

In 1998, Mantz co-hosted “Sci-Fi Entertainment” for the Sci-Fi Channel. He launched his own film review website ( in the summer of 1999 and brought his popular persona to “Access Hollywood,” when he joined in 2000.
